Daybreak Games (the company that took over the SOE games) will be shutting down Planetside 1, the original MMOFPS, and Legends of Norrath.
I played a lot of Planetside 1 and considered it the perfect example of a PvP MMO: no levels, no special gear, just a level playing field where player skill and tactics ruled the day.

I'm not playing Overwatch, but blizzard has apparently held true to their threats of perma-banning cheaters. There have been multiple reports of thousands of bans going out. Interestingly enough, they are multi-banning offenders. So even if you re-purchase the game, they will ban that game too.
