When you log into ToA and at the character creation screen in capatlized and bold print it makes reference of that typo.

Just responding generally, not on this specific instance:
- If you see something that you know must be a mistake, like being able to buy a house for two copper, doing it once is understandable. Doing it twice is verification.
- People who are just verifying a mistake usually report the bug to us immediately, and say "I bought a house for two copper, and then did it a second time to verify."
- People who buy a batch of two copper house deeds are a little weaselly, but if they don't run around squealing they probably wouldn't get anything but the excess ones stripped from their accounts, and a slap on the wrist.
- People who buy a hundred houses, run out to a city, and type /br HAHA MYTHIC SUCKS I BOUGHT A HUNDRED HOUSES FOR TWO COPPER GJ LOSERS WHO WANTS TO BUY A HOUSE are quite possibly exploiters taking advantage of an obvious bug, but they'll just get suspended, not banned.
YMMV.

| RE: How does Armor work? |
Has anything been said about how armor works?
My preference would be that each location of the body (Head, Torso, Legs, Right Arm, Left Arm) take damage independantly. So you have the armor in the location provide protection for that location only.
Then armor only provides resistance. So you have Slash, Pierce, Crushing, Fire, Cold, Energy, and Magic damage types that each type of armor raises and lowers the resistances for in those areas. Cloth would make you more suseptible to fire and metal would make you suseptible to energy.

Right now each body location does take separate hits and have it's own armor, and it works essentially as you describe. We haven't split magical damage out into subtypes yet, but the support for doing so is inherent in the system, we're trying to keep it simple while we do initial balancing. On the other hand, we've added a fourth physical damage type, Cleaving, so that swords and axes aren't treated identically.

every screenshot ive seen has had exactly the same Gui. for those of you that dont know what a gui is it stands for graphical user interface, it's the screen your interact with, you bring up your inventory screen, you look at your chat box or your portrait, its graphical, you interface with it using mouse+keyboard to do whatever.
anyhow, back to the point. Every screenshot ive seen fo wish has had exactly the same gui, the same chat box on the bottom right of the screen, the same quarter circle with several circular buttons around it in the top right (whatever thats for, i assume inventory button... log button.. etc etc)
and its been the same right down to the fonts and colors of text in the chat box.
I'm just wondering if you are going to be giving us any way of customising our screens. i find that a big part of what makes a game enjoyable is to be able to customise your screen to what makes YOU comfortable, not to what the majority of people asked find comfortable.
My favourite gui has alway been ultima online for the ability to close and reopen windows with ease and reposition them anywhere giving you a complete view of your screen with little blocking it
My second favourite is everuqests custom gui, you can literaly edit your gui in almost anyway you want, what kept it from being the best for me is that no matter how u set it up you still MUST have 9/10 of the diferent windows up in order to play the game with any kind of effectiveness, like how can you talk to people without ur chatbox, how can you be a good mage or wizard without your spellbar,
ill just compact my question down a bit to make it easier to awnser:
Will the development of the game allow the players to alter/arrange their gui in a way that suits them best? or will the gui be fixed to a certain layout+settings that cannot be altered. |

An XML based "skinnable" interface is a possibility, but it's definitely further down the road. For this stage of things, requirements are changing so quickly it wouldn't work very well, and it would delay more critical development.

I can already see this is nothing more then RA and Skillines mixed. Now the issue I forsee happening is what if you choose a path and it ends up being the gimpiest crap ever. Its not like were fortold what a pathline holds for us only a brief description. So I gotta wonder what if I go down a path and say MAN this really sux and is nothing like the description says. Are we going to have a way to change paths later on ??
The main reason is mythic is releasing no information. Im easily reminded of their book that didnt even explain stats right. Or how they changed ablities and nerfed things. Well we all know some of these are going to be OMG that is overpowered, and mythic didnt forsee us using in it a way that we managed to and they are going to nerf it. So bassically again for the third time here , Will we be able to change paths since your not releasing no information on what a path holds.
