Since the day we received word from that poor squire about the Mysterious Creature, our best scholars and woodsmen have been studying the creature and its behavior.
The woodsmen believe that the creature means no harm and seems to be attracted to places of great battles with the ability to vanish from one location only to reappear at another1. The scholars discovered a reference in an old scroll about similar creatures seen in other parts of the world, particularly from places far beyond the Silk Road. The reference mentions a benevolent guardian spirit that watches over the fields of battle, radiating an aura2 that inspires mortals to greatness. While generally invisible to the mortal eye, these spirits can become visible at will. The scholars are baffled by the behavior, but they believe that this spirit wants to be seen.

| Doppelgangers Run for the Hills |

Scouts from Killibury and Bossiney report that the Doppelgangers were seen fleeing the battlefield. The few stragglers that failed to evade our attacks babbled some non-sense about a harbinger before succumbing to their wounds.

| Mysterious Creature |

Early this morning in Albion, a lone squire arrived at the gates, exhausted from his ride through the night. What he had to report was both interesting and alarming. The squire was stationed at Caer Benowyc when a messenger arrived from the advanced forced fighting in Hibernia territory. It seems that an ethereal, draconic-looking creature materialized over Dun Bolg, where an Albion force was holding back a Hibernian attempt to retake the keep. Thinking that this may be a new Hibernian tactic, the archers and ballistae on the ramparts fired at the creature. To their surprise, the missiles passed through the creature without harming it. It did not react, but rather kept drifting almost leisurely over the keep. The creature then dematerialized.
While the messenger relayed his message, the creature reappeared, this time over Caer Benowyc. Once again, attempts to attack the creature were ineffective, and still, it did nothing that seemed threatening. In the squire's opinion, the creature seemed only interested in observing them. He said that while the creature was frightening because of its massive size and dragon-like appearance, its visage, twinkling with thousands of star-like lights, was a stunning sight to behold. The final bit of information passed along by the squire was that just before he left, the soldiers at the keep began reporting a sense of renewed vigor. Though squire was not certain if it was coincidental or not, he felt he should report it. |

| Account System Issues |

| Our account system was taken offline briefly today to resolve a billing issue. While this problem has been fixed, customers may notice a slight delay in processing billing charges while our system catches up on any backlog. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers. |

So here are some things I should have posted on Friday:
- The Market Explorer interface now allows you to choose “None” as a minimum quality requirement, thus allowing you to search for items of any quality. This is now the default setting when you open or reset the window.
- The Doppleganger event is back on in the Frontiers of Killibury, Bossiney, and Mordred. The quests Anatomy of an Ancient Foe and Further Analysis have been turned back on for these clusters/servers, as well. These quests can be picked upfrom the Scholars of the Ancient Ways in each Realm's capital city |
